The Proton Pack of Dr. Rhodes

For Halloween 2009, I decided it was finally time to go as a Ghostbuster. Good thing I made this decision during the summer. This proton pack took 3+ months of hard work. It was well worth it for all the surprised looks I got from the neighbors and random people around town. Oh yea, it was also surpisingly cheap. There's a lot of recycled parts on it! Here's what I can remember:

Cake pan
old car belt
OJ containers
vacuum hoses
Pringles can
chapstick tube
juice/bottled water lids
acrylic paint tubes

I also had to buy some random switches and buttons from Radio Shack. The only special order was the ribbon cable. It was too skinny, but I doubled it to make it work.

The proton gun and a couple of hoses have since been added. I think this was taken when it was about 90% finished. The pic doesn't do it justice, but matte black is nearly impossible to photograph.
